# How do I get payment notifications by email?

CryptAPI can e-mail you whenever a payment address receives funds. First confirm your e-mail address, then add it to your requests.

## Step 1: Confirm your e-mail address

1. Go to our [Confirm E-mail page](https://cryptapi.io/confirm_email).
2. Enter your e-mail address and click **Request code**.
3. Check your inbox, enter the code we sent you and click **Submit code**.

You only need to do this once for each e-mail address.

## Step 2: Add the email parameter

When you [create a payment address](/api/tickercreate#email), add the [`email`](/api/tickercreate#email) parameter with your confirmed address:

```

> **WARNING**
>We only send notifications to confirmed e-mail addresses. If you skip Step 1, you won't get any e-mails.


E-mail notifications are an extra. Your platform should still rely on the [callbacks](/webhooks/custom-payment-flow-webhooks) to confirm payments.
