The priority parameter is available for Bitcoin, Ethereum, ERC-20 tokens and Litecoin. You can use it in both the create and estimate endpoints.
As the name suggests, it makes transactions faster, but the higher the priority, the higher the network fee.
Each cryptocurrency or network has its own set of priorities.
Bitcoin
For Bitcoin, the priority is a confirmation target: we work out the fee from current network fees so the transaction confirms within a given number of blocks.
| Priority | Blocks |
|---|---|
| fast | 10 |
| default | 25 |
| economic | 75 |
| x-economic | 125 |
| xx-economic | 200 |
| xxx-economic | 300 |
| xxxx-economic | 500 |
| xxxxx-economic | 1000 |
Ethereum
For Ethereum, the values are based on the estimated gas price:
| Priority | Gas price |
|---|---|
| fast | 100% |
| default | 100% |
| economic | 95% |
| x-economic | 90% |
| xx-economic | 85% |
| xxx-economic | 80% |
| xxxx-economic | 75% |
ERC-20 Tokens
As with Ethereum, the values for ERC-20 tokens are based on the estimated gas price:
| Priority | Gas price |
|---|---|
| fast | 120% |
| default | 100% |
| economic | 95% |
| x-economic | 90% |
| xx-economic | 85% |
| xxx-economic | 80% |
| xxxx-economic | 75% |
Litecoin
As with Bitcoin, the priority is a confirmation target in blocks:
| Priority | Blocks |
|---|---|
| fast | 10 |
| default | 25 |
| economic | 50 |
